Remove Your Biological Age from Your Face

Biological Age for Your Face

Your face is the first thing people see when they notice you. And while you might be an overly charming person and someone who can light up the room with your jokes and your stories, your appearance is still being judged. When you age, you can have lines and wrinkles appear at any time, causing you to look older than you actually are – depending on how you care for your skin. To ensure your face doesn’t show a high biological age than you actually are, here’s what you need to do.

Wash Gently

Washing face gently helps reduce biological age on skin. You might not realize it, but the harder you wash your face, the more damage you are doing to your skin. When you wash your face, you are disturbing the cells of the skin, causing them to have to repair themselves. Since the skin doesn’t turn over as quickly when the skin ages, the skin’s appearance can look older than it is. To ensure you aren’t damaging your skin, try to wash with a gentle soap before you go to bed. This soap should be used with warm water (never hot) and the skin should be patted dry when you are done rinsing. Yes, you can skip your morning face wash, if you like, since the skin isn’t getting dirty at night.

Moisturize Often

Biological Age And Beauty

Moisturize to improve biological age on skin. Adding a water based moisturizer is the best way to keep your skin supple, without increasing your odds of acne. For those who have dry skin, they might want to use an oil-based moisturizer since this will help the skin become and stay moisturized. Serums are a good alternative if you’re not sure which product to use as they are light enough for oily skin and tough enough for dry skin. Apply these products to a freshly washed face as well as during the day as needed. The moisture will help the skin look smoother and firmer, even if you do have lines. Dry skin can look more wrinkled than it actually is.

Protect Your Skin

Keeping your skin out of the skin will also help you to keep your face looking young and healthy. Using at least a 15 SPF sunscreen will allow you to prevent age spots and wrinkles from appearing on your face more quickly than you might like. Apply a layer of sunblock to all of the areas of skin which might be exposed. In addition to helping you avoid the look of aged skin, this will also reduce your chances of skin cancer.

Your skin can reveal your age, even when you don’t want it to. By following just a few simple steps, you can ensure your skin is healthy and youthful – just like you.

Testing Your Biological (Body's) Real Age

Biological Age Test

The Biological Age Test can help you find out in moments what your biological age is and how your age is changing. For some, this might mean they are aging too rapidly. For others, good habits may show that their biological age is moving downward, making them healthier and more youthful. It’s never too late to make changes in your life either. No matter what the results, being able to track one’s biological age will help you find out whether you are heading in the right direction for health or if you need to turn around and ask for more directions.
